Life Too Short To Have Boring Hair πŸ’‡πŸ½

Hey buddies! We all good? I hope the answer was yes! My fave time of the year is defo winter but I’m beginning to really look forward to the summer. Bring on light spring evenings, and long walks with Barney.

Today’s blog is all about my hair care routine! I love being able to change my hair style and colour. I get so bored of it so quickly, and I always fancy a change. I’ve gone back to my natural brunette colour, and I think this is the colour I am going to stay. It’s currently really dark but the more I wash it, the more the colour should fade into a more natural brown. (I wont lie though, it will changeΒ πŸ˜‚)

So this is my current hair colour, and I absolutely love itΒ πŸ’•

To dye my hair I used the Garner Olia hair dye. I like the colour this gave my hair, but I always find that after using this dye, even after washing my hair throughly for a good ten minutes, some of the product always stays by my roots, and makes my hair look really greasy and horible. So I used the colour 4.15 Iced Chocolate, so its very dark, but I really love it.IMG_0273Having died my hair so much over the years, I’ve used a whole range of different hair care products. I have tried and tested so many different products, that I think I have found some really staple products.

So the first thing I do is obviously wash and condition my hair. My fave combination are the Aussie Take that Heat shampoo and conditioner. These are my fairly luxury shampoo and conditioner products. They are currently on offer in Tesco. 3 FOR Β£1!!

Then I always use a little treatment, so maybe like a hair mask, or I leave in an intensive conditioner for about 5 minutes then wash it off. I am currently using L’oreal Hair Expertise, Dazzling Colour Refreshing Mask and I really really love this. Even the smell is amazing! Can’t get enough. Leaves my hair feeling soft and silky. I usually use this when after I’ve washed my hair, and then leave it in my hair for about 10 – 15 minutes.

When I get out of the shower or bath I like to put my hair up in a towel to towel dry for as long as posible. Then when the hairs been drying in my towel for about an hour, I’ll start to dry it with a hair dryer. This way I don’t have to apply as much heat. Before I dry my hair, I’ll always use a heat protecting product. Β I have recently started using this Get Sleek, Perfect Polish, Smooth and Tame Cream from Tresemme. I love this stuff its brand new, and its not technically a heat defence product but The cream really protects my hair. I use a small amount and run it through the ends of my hair, and then I take a hairdryer and direct it going down the hair. This makes my hair look really neat and super soft.

After heat protectant I will always use my trusty L’oreal extraordinary oil. I have used this since it very first came out, and I have used it ever since. I love the difference it makes. It leaves your hair so much softer and smoother. The difference is incredible. Your hair is left super soft and really shiny, makes your hair really manageable.

IMG_0352.jpgI am also loving this argon oil mist. This is a fairly new love of my mine, but I think it makes all the difference. I use this after I’ve styled my hair, just on the ends and it just adds a little bit of shine and makes your hair so much easier to manage. This is super cheap I think its under a fiver and its lasted me a really long time!

IMG_0357Fudge have some really amazing products, and I have been using their products for a really long time. I have majorly dry ends, and this is due to not having my hair cut regularly and dying it an awful lot over time. I like to use something on the ends of my hair to make them look really sleek, and smooth. I use this when my hairs wet, just a small blop and add to the ends and just run through. I really love this and I try to use this all the time, but I wont lie I can sometimes be really lazy when I have wet hair, and I just cba with dealing with drying it. This really makes all the difference.

Okie dokie so thats it from me. I know I haven’t been blogging as much recently, but its because I’ve started a new job and work is really really mental. I think as soon as I’m more settled in my new job I will be able to post more. I have loads of really cool ideas, so I’m really looking forward to it.
